Born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, by absolutely amazing parents, I escaped to the Florida sun soon after college. I always thought Florida was just a “stop off “on my way to the place I’d live forever. Ten years later, I’m still here and I can’t ever imagine leaving my sandy beaches and swaying palm trees. Plus, this little family I created is pretty darn cool.
I’m known as Mom and Ma-Ma to Mia and Charli (5 and 1 year) and Amanda (not step-mom… that sounds like Cinderella) to a lovely young lady named Madi (12). I’m known as “love of my life” to an amazing man named Marcus, who likes to be shielded by the papparazzi unlike myself.
I currently serve as a contributing writer at PLAYGROUND magazine in Orlando and as the Sheknows.com City Guide Orlando writer. I’m the PR and social media manager at Produce for Kids.
I have a degree in journalism (which obviously means I’m on top of every breaking news story), eight years in travel and leisure publicity, a year (so far) in the health/nutrition world and my most valuable experience – mom of two girls. My insight floweth over.
In my spare time (seems like I have a lot of it, right?), I enjoy taking ballet classes, swimming, paddleboarding, reading, tweeting, traveling, cooking and shopping.
